Applicability:All the shops and establishments employing 20 or more the number of employees is required to register and comply with the act’s provisions.

Penal Provision:1. For the first offence there is fine up to Rs. 500, for repeated offence it may lead to the imprisonment up to 3 months or fine up to Rs. 1000 or both and for any obstruction and hindrance in inspection it can lead to fine up to Rs. 250.
