Applicability:All the shops and establishments regardless of the number of employees are required to register and comply with the act’s provisions.

Penal Provision:Non-compliance with registrations i.e. section 13 of act liable to pay fine not less than Rs. 1000 and can be extent to Rs. 3000 along with the prescribed fees, For first offence employer are liable to pay fine not exceeding Rs. 100 and For each subsequent offence employer have to pay fine of Rs. 300.
