Act:The Jharkhand Shops and Commercial Establishments Act, 1953
Rule:Jharkhand Shops and Establishment Rules, 2001
Applicability:Every shop and establishment employing 10 or more persons is required to obtain registration and comply with the provisions of the Act.
Registration Process:Online — Establishments in Jharkhand must register through the Jharkhand Labour Department's official portal at www.advantage.jharkhand.gov.in. The entire process, from filling the application to fee payment is done digitally.
Penal Provision:The first-time offence penalty is ₹5000 and fines for each successive offense start at ₹10,000.
