Labour Welfare Fund :
Chandigarh
Under Punjab Labour Welfare Fund Act, 1965 (as applicable to Chandigarh vide Notification No. 12/13/44-HII(2)), workers earning up to ₹10,000 per month contribute ₹5 per month and employers contribute ₹20 per month, thus making a total remittance of ₹25 per worker per month. These statutory contributions are calculated on the last business day of each month and deposited on a semi-annual basis for the periods of April-September and October-March. To remain fully compliant and avoid any penalties from regulators, you’ll want to get your payments and filings in by the hard deadlines — October 15th for payments and April 15th for filings.
