The Office of the Commissioner (Labour), Government of NCT of Delhi, has issued Order F. No. (142)/02/MW/VII/Part file/211-241 dated April 15, 2025, declaring a mandatory hike in Dearness Allowance (D.A.) based on the Consumer Price Index. The effective date of this order is April 1, 2025 (01.04.2025).
Signed by Joint Labour Commissioner (HQ) K.M. Singh, the new revised minimum wages per month (and per day) for all scheduled employments are legally set at ₹18,456 per month (₹710 per day) for Unskilled workers, ₹20,371 per month (₹784 per day) for Semi-Skilled workers, and ₹22,411 per month (₹862 per day) for Skilled workers. For clerical and supervisory staff, the updated monthly rates are ₹20,371 for Non-Matriculates, ₹22,411 for Matriculates but not Graduates, and ₹24,356 (₹937 per day) for Graduates and above. All employers in the National Capital Territory of Delhi are legally mandated to update their payroll systems, implement these retroactive rates effective from April 1, 2025, and can verify the authenticity of this directive directly via the official website at labour.delhi.gov.in to protect against tampered orders.
