Minimum Wages of Jammu & Kashmir

The Government of Jammu & Kashmir, Labour and Employment Department, has revised the Minimum Wages for scheduled employments through Notification No. S.O. 315 dated 26 June 2022, following the recommendations of the Advisory Board. The revised wage rates were officially notified under Notification No. S.O. 513, issued on 14 October 2022, and became effective from 17 October 2022. The notification revises the minimum daily wages for Unskilled, Semi-Skilled, Skilled, Highly Skilled, and Administrative/Ministerial categories under the Minimum Wages Act, 1948. Employers operating in Jammu & Kashmir are required to implement the revised wage rates from the effective date and ensure full compliance with statutory wage payment obligations to avoid legal non-compliance.
