Minimum Wages of Karnataka
The Government of Karnataka has issued official Notification No. 411 LWB 2023 (dated 22.05.2026), revising and standardizing minimum wages across 99 scheduled industries. Following High Court directives and an Advisory Board review, the new daily, monthly, and Variable Dearness Allowance (VDA) rates across Zones 1, 2, and 3 take immediate effect to protect worker purchasing power against inflation.

Applicability:It covers all Karnataka scheduled jobs even it every employee, contract labourer and labourers. It relates to government buildings, local governments, mines, factories, and other scheduled industries. It does not include members of the armed forces
Over-Time wages:Twice the minimum wages
Penalty & Compensation for paying less than Minimum Wages
Penalty:Fine of Rs. 500/- or 6 months imprisonment or both
