The Office of the Labour Commissioner, Government of Madhya Pradesh, Indore has issued an official revision notification under File Number 1/11/Anve./Five/2024/6445-6650, dated March 31, 2026. Exercising the powers derived from the Minimum Wages Act, 1948, the Labour Commissioner has updated the Variable Dearness Allowance (VDA) based on a 11-point increase in the All India Consumer Price Index (AICPI) average, which rose to 425 for the July–December 2025 calculation block. These newly calculated schedules establish a fixed effective date from April 1, 2026, through September 30, 2026, applying across 67 distinct scheduled employments, specific industrial categories like slate pencil manufacturing, commercial printing, government daily wage sectors, and specialized rolling tasks.
Per the mandatory accounting rules established by the state's Finance Department, all fractional daily totals reaching 50 paise or above are rounded up to the next consecutive rupee, while sums below 50 paise are permanently omitted.
