Minimum Wages of Odisha

As per the latest notification issued by the Office of the Labour Commissioner, Government of Odisha (Notification No. 3920 / Dated 01.05.2026), the minimum rate of wages across 91 scheduled employments has been officially revised. This update introduces an additional Variable Dearness Allowance (VDA) of Rs. 10/- per day, which officially comes into effective date w.e.f. 1st April, 2026. Under this new directive, the revised daily minimum wages are structured as follows: Unskilled workers will now receive Rs. 472/-, Semi-skilled workers Rs. 522/-, Skilled workers Rs. 572/-, and Highly Skilled employees will receive Rs. 622/-. This statutory hike ensures compliance with the shifting Consumer Price Index for industrial workers, making it imperative for corporate entities and employers across Odisha to align their payroll structures immediately to avoid legal non-compliance.
