Minimum Wages of Uttarakhand
According to the official mandate issued by the Office of the Labour Commissioner, Uttarakhand (Haldwani), the state government has announced a comprehensive update regarding the Variable Dearness Allowance (VDA) for various scheduled employments. This order is executed under Government Order (शासकीय आदेश) No. 460(1) / VIII-1/2026-228 (श्रम) 2001, dated April 22, 2026. Based on the All India Consumer Price Index (AICPI 2016=100) average increasing from a base of 139 to an average index of 148 (July 2025 to December 2025), a VDA adjustment rate of ₹57.60 per point change yields a net allowance revision calculation of $(148 - 139) \times 57.60 = ₹518.40$, officially rounded to ₹518.00 per month. This directive establishes a strict effective date of April 1, 2026, and applies directly to all listed categories of scheduled employees—including commercial shops, construction work, and mechanical transport workshops—remaining enforceable until further statutory orders are passed under Section 7(2) of the Code on Wages, 2019.
